1960
Hart & Son Inc. is a family owned and operated local business that was started in 1960. After serving in the Army, Les Hart started the business to be able to provide for his family. He started with one Ford truck and a cardboard collection route in Philadelphia and Delaware County.
1970’s
A few years later, he began to also collect trash on the daily routes. Soon his young son, Ron joined in helping him after school and on the weekends.
1985
In 1985, Ron joined the company fulltime working the commercial trash and recycling routes. Within a few years, our third generation Ronnie joined his dad as a kid helping his dad on the weekends.
1993
In 1993, Ron and wife Lisa took a leap of faith and bought a roll off truck and a few dumpsters. Still working the trash and recycling collection, Ron would make dumpster deliveries before and after. The dumpster rental business grew and they have added multiple trucks and personnel.
2003
Ronnie graduated high school in 2003 and joined his grandfather and dad in the family business fulltime. He has worked the commercial trash and recycling route just like the two generations before him. He is also focused on junk removal and clean-out services for the Philadelphia, Delaware County, and Mainline areas.
2010
In 2010, all three generations celebrated the 50th anniversary of Les starting the business with 1 truck and a dream to provide for his family. Although Les passed in 2012, Ron and Ronnie continue the Hart name and the exceptional service that their customers have appreciated for over 50 years. We are large enough to service any size residential, commercial or industrial job but small enough to provide our customers excellent personal service.
